Yes! I’m currently accepting commissions for Fall 2024 and all of 2025.

I create realistic paintings and drawings. While I specialize in pet and people portraits, I have also created landscapes, house portraits, florals, still lifes and lots more. If you have an idea, let’s discuss to see the possibilities!

The price for a commission varies based on several factors including size, medium, complexity of subject matter, and turnaround time.
I start out our conversation with your budget and give you options within that range. Quotes are always free with no obligations, it’s just a discussion of the possibilities!

Contact me with your commission idea(s).
Together we will discuss your commission so that I can give you a free custom quote. Things we may discuss are size, price range, best medium options, timeline, and reference images. This will allow me to give you a quote to fit your specific needs.
Once all terms of the commission are agreed upon, a contract will be given to you to sign. A non-refundable fee of 50% is required after acceptance of contract to begin the artwork creation process.
The artwork creation will begin! I will be sharing in-progress updates with you along the way, if you wish. Some choose to see it in process, while some choose to wait til it’s complete.
When the artwork is complete, I will share the final artwork image with you for approval. Once approved, final payment for the artwork and shipping will be requested. Once paid, the artwork will be shipped or ready for pick up! Oil paintings require several weeks to dry, while other artworks will be ready immediately upon payment.

This varies greatly depending on the artwork. On average, commissions take me 10 to 30 hours to complete.
When we discuss your artwork, we will discuss turnaround time for your artwork and your quote will reflect the hours I estimate the artwork will take.
Fun Fact: The shortest commission I’ve ever done was 5 hours; the longest 92 hours!

Yes! I always use photographs to paint from. When we are discussing your commission, I will request photographs of the subject you’re interested in having drawn or painted. Sometimes one photograph is all I need, while other times I like to have several reference photos. For example, I may need an additional photograph to make sure I capture someone’s eye color just right!
Throughout the process, I help you choose and fine tune the photo that will work best for the commission! For example, if you want a portrait of your dog but not sure which photo I can help you make that decision!
If you are local to St. Louis, Missouri, and would like me to photograph your dog, family, etc for a drawing/painting, that can be part of your contract too!
