The Painting/s Story:
In Anderson, SC there is an old gas station still standing (but hasn’t been in use for a very long time). This painting is from a series titled Rankin’s Grocery that I’ve created. I love that they allowed this historical marker (now a permanent one) to remain standing for visitors to observe. I loved riding by this when I was at college, and it will always have a cool, special place in my heart. Such a unique place to see!
